Long time no see Newgrounders. Spent some time off and on cleaning up my Ludum Dare game to put on mobile. It's finally out. I added some new gameplay mechanics, new applicants, achievements and other stuff for this release.
I live in an area that is filled with Title Loan offices so I figured the LD33 - "You are the Monster" theme would be perfect for basing a game off them.
The gameplay is similar to Papers, Please, though a lot more simplifed due to the time constraints of development (72 hours).

It's been awhile since I've submitted anything on NG so I decided it was time to throw my hat back in the ring. My plan is to get into making smaller game projects such as game jams and whatnot so hopefully I'll be sharing more content on here in the near future. It's been too long and I've missed it!
As for the game, it's a simple physics puzzler where you bomb the hell out of gnomes. Since the game originally was an iPhone/iPad exclusive I did some reengineering of the controls and added more effects to this version.
Boom Boat 2 on NG: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/644092
I just released my second iOS game this week called Boom Boat 2. Anyone with an iOS device should check it out!
For those interested, I created Boom Boat 2 using the Unity engine but before the Unity 2D patch. The trailer for the game was made using Flash (so I could dust off my old Flash skills haha) and Adobe Premiere.
It's been awhile since I posted any content here but now that I've learned Unity I will be able to make some smaller titles and put them on NG.
Anyway, check it out if you want. It's $1 and has no IAP.
For the past two months I've been working hard on an update to my first iOS game Boom Boat. Thanks to a lot of feedback on here (PMs, Email, etc) and elsewhere on the net I've made a lot of improvements and additions.
Besides 30 new levels, the biggest change is the graphics. I finally bit the bullet and hired an actual artist this time and the results are amazing!
For Flash programmers interested in jumping in iOS programming, the game was coded using Cocos2d / Box2d physics. Recently I've been hearing great things about Corona SDK as well (compiles to iOS and Android platforms and uses LUA) but I've yet to check that out. If I made the jump many of you can too. :)
Anyway, check out the trailer and some screens below.
After many sleepless nights I've finally finished Boom Boat and got it up on the App Store. Whew... This would've never happened had it not been for my years of Flash experience and support from a lot of you guys on NG (you know who you are).
Check out the game and let me know what you think. Below is a description, trailer and iTunes link.
A new oil crisis has crippled the world economy. Oil gushers are appearing on ocean floors around the globe. Your goal, in this physics-based puzzle action game, is to bomb those gushers until the oil stops pouring out into the sea. Equipped with bombs, barrels, concrete and more it is imperative that those gushers are destroyed by any means necessary.
Seal the gushers, stop the bad guys, save the world. Boom.
